Underbelly has announced a star-studded lineup for its 7th annual Big Brain Tumour Benefit, a cornerstone event of its 25th Anniversary programme. Set for Wednesday, August 13 at 7:20 PM in the prestigious McEwan Hall, the show will feature a mix of beloved and acclaimed comedy acts, with all proceeds supporting The Brain Tumour Charity.

This year's roster includes an impressive list of talent. Fans can look forward to seeing the quick wit of Ivo Graham, the musical comedy stylings of David O’Doherty, and the sharp social commentary of Emmy-nominated comedian Michelle Wolf. The bill also features a special, one-time Fringe appearance by the hip-hop improv master Abandoman, alongside rising star Celya AB, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Emmanuel Sonubi, and the delightfully chaotic Garry Starr. Underbelly promises more names will be added to this already spectacular lineup.

The benefit was founded by Underbelly co-founder Ed Bartlam in 2017 after his son, Alfie, was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. Alfie sadly passed away in 2019 at the age of seven. The annual event, which has raised over £700,000 to date, funnels all donations into the "Angel Child" fund at The Brain Tumour Charity, specifically targeting research for aggressive pediatric brain tumors.

Ed Bartlam expressed his gratitude, stating, "I'm incredibly thankful to the utterly brilliant comedians and audiences for supporting this event that's now in its 7th year." He highlighted the importance of the show in raising funds and offering audiences a chance to see some of the best comedy the Fringe has to offer for an essential cause.

The Brain Tumour Charity's Corporate Partnerships Manager, Sally King, echoed these sentiments, thanking Underbelly for their unwavering support. She noted the critical need for funding, as brain tumours remain the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40.
