Social media influencer and YouTuber Olivia Cordell (“Grown-ish”, “Dead Best Friend”) presents her world-premiere solo show, “Bog Body”, at the Camden Fringe this August. This marks her first solo piece and first UK premiere.
“Bog Body” will launch its fringe tour at Barons Court Theatre as part of Camden Fringe, followed by appearances at The Glitch as part of Lambeth Fringe and at the Etcetera Theatre for Camden Horror Festival.
“Horror is having a renaissance, in both film and theatre,” explains Olivia Cordell, creator and performer of Bog Body. “We're excited to test the limits of Fringe theatre: whether the space, technical elements, script, performance can come together to deliver a truly terrifying good time. We’re so lucky to have the support of Arts Council England to bring this project to life with a robotic bog body.”
About“Bog Body” is an immersive and interactive performance about a forensic anthropologist studying a set of supposedly-haunted human remains found in an Irish bog. Bog bodies are a real phenomenon: There have been hundreds of prehistoric bodies discovered in bogs across northern Europe, all perfectly preserved, dating back thousands of years. Learn from Dr. Alyssa Kim in this engaging (and terrifying) presentation: You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll scream as she confronts a supernatural enemy and her own worst fears.
