A richly atmospheric and immersive new production, The Hideout, will debut at the Platform Theatre, Granary Square, Central Saint Martins, on Monday 28 April 2025, with performances at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance
here.
Set within the shadowy confines of an 18th-century smuggler’s tavern, The Hideout invites audiences into a world where dusk fades into dawn and secrets slip through the cracks of candlelit wood. The story follows a group of Gentlemen awaiting a mysterious delivery—one that tests loyalties and unearths shifting power dynamics amid flickering shadows and whispered suspicions.
This original production creates a textured theatrical experience through a carefully crafted integration of music, lighting, set, costume, and sound design. Ensemble-led storytelling and stylised physical movement drive the narrative, while an evocative score—woven into a layered soundscape—breathes life into each scene.
Presented by emerging voices in contemporary theatre, The Hideout is more than a period piece—it’s an invitation to inhabit a volatile space where truth is slippery, trust is a currency, and time feels suspended.
