Following the success of The Forsyte Saga Parts 1 and 2, Troupe returns to Park Theatre in 2026 with a bold reimagining of Noël Coward’s rarely staged debut play The Rat Trap. Adapted by acclaimed playwright Bill Rosenfield, this centenary revival opens in Park200 on 2 February, with previews from 28 January, and runs until 14 March.

Set in the stylish yet stifling world of 1920s Belgravia, The Rat Trap follows Sheila and Keld, two ambitious writers whose marriage begins to crumble under the pressures of professional jealousy, success, and betrayal. While Coward’s signature wit sparkles throughout, the play reveals a darker, more introspective side to the legendary playwright’s early work.

Written when Coward was just 18 and first staged in 1926, The Rat Trap is a strikingly modern exploration of ego, love, and creative conflict. In Rosenfield’s fresh adaptation, the production promises a blend of period elegance and emotional punch — paying homage to Coward’s legacy while breathing new life into one of his lesser-known works.

Rosenfield, whose previous credits include Another America and 46 Beacon, brings a deep understanding of theatrical storytelling to the project. His extensive background in both writing and producing — including over 65 original cast recordings and multiple awards — ensures this centenary production is in expert hands.

Troupe’s return to Park Theatre cements its reputation for crafting rich, character-driven revivals. With The Rat Trap, audiences can expect a poignant, stylish production that shines a spotlight on a seminal moment in Coward’s illustrious career.

The Rat Trap runs 28 January to 14 March 2026 at Park Theatre, Finsbury Park. Press night is 2 February at 7pm. Tickets from £15–£57.50, with concessions and youth offers available.
