Producers David Ian for Crossroads Live, in association with Barry and Fran Weissler, have announced full star casting for the 2027 UK and Ireland tour of the multi-award-winning musical Chicago, opening at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 5 February 2027.

Making her musical theatre debut as Roxie Hart is Strictly Come Dancing professional Lauren Oakley. She stars alongside two-time Olivier Award nominee Adam Garcia (Saturday Night Fever, Kiss Me, Kate, Coyote Ugly) as the slick criminal lawyer Billy Flynn.

Sharing the role of Matron 'Mama' Morton across selected tour venues are award-winning UK soul singer Mica Paris MBE and The X Factor winner Sam Bailey. The lead cast is rounded out by Charlotte Gooch (Moulin Rouge!, Singin' In The Rain) as Velma Kelly, Jonathan Dryden Taylor (Kinky Boots, National Theatre) as Amos Hart, and R. Leonard making their professional debut as Mary Sunshine.

The ensemble includes Bethany Adamson, Kofi Aidoo-Appiah, Gabby Antrobus, Jamie Armour, Talia Duff, Harvey Fawcett, Marie Finlayson, Sergio Giacomelli, Sam Holden, Aoife Kenny, Harrison Langham, Oliver Loades, Will Markendale, Gabrielle Parker, and Tanith Williams.

Set against the razzle-dazzle backdrop of the 1920s, Chicago follows nightclub dancer Roxie Hart, who murders her lover and hires Chicago’s most cunning lawyer to turn her crime into sensational media headlines. Created by John Kander, Fred Ebb, and legendary choreographer Bob Fosse, the iconic score features classic numbers including "Cell Block Tango," "Razzle Dazzle," and "All That Jazz."

Following its launch in Wimbledon, the extensive tour will visit cities including Plymouth, Cardiff, Sheffield, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin, Birmingham, Belfast, Edinburgh, and Woking through November 2027.
