The Hunger Games: On Stage has officially entered its second year at London’s Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, welcoming a brand-new cast and refreshed production elements. Following an acclaimed inaugural run, the smash-hit stage adaptation has extended its booking period through to 14 February 2027.
Building on the scale and ambition of its opening year, the creative team has introduced key enhancements across costume, video, and lighting design. Accompanied by refinements to the script and staging, the updated production aims to bring the dystopian world of Panem to life with even greater depth, intensity, and spectacle.
Leading the new company is Elizabeth Anderson as Katniss Everdeen, alongside Vinnie Copeland as Peeta Mellark and Nathan Stokes as Gale Hawthorne. The main cast also features Daisy Statham as Prim, Alix Dunmore as Mrs. Everdeen, Isabel Della-Porta as Effie Trinket, and Theo Ogundipe as Cinna. Television stars Neil McDermott (EastEnders) and Daniel Brocklebank (Coronation Street) step into the roles of Haymitch Abernathy and Caesar Flickerman, respectively.
The ensemble and swing company features returning members Aiya Agustin (Rue), Geo Bailey, Alexandra Barredo, Jessica Daugirda, and Luca Moscardini, joined by new cast members including Jason Battersby (Cato), Myla Carmen (Clove), Montel Morrison (Thresh), Jhanaica van Mook (Glimmer), and Jake Scott Newton (Marvel).
Adapted by Olivier Award-winning playwright Conor McPherson (Girl from the North Country, The Weir) from Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novel and the Lionsgate film franchise, the production is helmed by director Matthew Dunster (2:22 - A Ghost Story, Hangmen).
The production is staged at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, a custom-built, 1,200-seat theatre-in-the-round venue designed specifically to house the immersive theatrical experience in the heart of East London. Tickets and performance schedules for the extended run are available via the venue’s official box office.
