Secret Cinema have revealed initial casting for the world premiere production of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure. Following huge ticket demand, the show has extended its inaugural run at Secret Cinema’s new purpose-built flagship venue at Greenwich Peninsula by an additional six weeks.

Olivier Award winner George Maguire takes on the iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow. Joining him in the swashbuckling adventure are Phil Daniels as Captain Barbossa, Lily Blunsom as Elizabeth Swann, Harrison Wilde as Will Turner, and Gleanne Purcell-Brown as Anamaria.

Directed by Olivier Award winner Matt Costain, previews begin on 16 February, with official opening night set for 10 March. The production marks Secret Cinema's first long-term residency in its custom waterfront home, located a short walk from North Greenwich tube station and The O2.

Breaking new creative ground, the experience places live, 360-degree theatrical storytelling at its core. Rather than screening the full film, the show weaves curated clips from Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl into cinematic sets, live action stunts, and music. Over two hours, audiences step directly into the world of pirates and rogues alongside the cast.

The production features a decorated creative team, including two-time Emmy Award-winning production designer Jason Sherwood, theatrical adaptor Kait Kerrigan, Olivier Award-winning musical supervisor Alan Williams, and fight director Alex Payne. Costume design is by Susan Kulkarni, hair, wigs, and make-up by Helen Keane, and casting by Stuart Burt CDG.

Licensed through Disney Theatrical Group, the show represents the first time the global movie franchise has been transformed into an interactive live performance. Full casting announcements will follow shortly.
