Trafalgar Releasing has revealed the electrifying official trailer and theatrical release date for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express - Live On Stage. The high-octane filmed theatrical event will hit cinemas internationally across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, and Canada on 26 November 2026 for a strictly limited time.

Tickets for the cinematic event go on sale starting today, 15 October. Filmed during the musical’s triumphant 2024 revival at London’s Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre—produced by Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals—this worldwide phenomenon brings the magic of the stage directly to the big screen. Directed for the screen by Brett Sullivan of Steam Motion and Sound, the production fully immerses audiences of all ages inside a high-speed world of song, storytelling, and jaw-dropping stunts.

The story follows a child's train set magically coming to life as the engines race to become the fastest in the world. Rusty the Steam Train, played by Jeevan Braich, has little hope of winning until he is inspired by the legendary Starlight Express. The cast also features Jade Marvin as Momma McCoy, Olivia Ringrose as Greaseball, Asher Forth as Electra, Sophie Naglik as Pearl, Georgia Pemberton as Dinah, and Jaydon Vijn as Hydra.

Reimagined for a new generation by stage director Luke Sheppard and creative dramaturg Arlene Phillips, the critically acclaimed London production features iconic music alongside the brand-new song ‘Hydrogen’ by Andrew Lloyd Webber and original lyricist Richard Stilgoe. The revival has achieved major success, winning an Olivier Award and a record-breaking seven WhatsOnStage Awards, making it London’s longest-running revival of an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical in 20 years ahead of its upcoming 2027 world tour.

Seen by over 30 million people worldwide, the show features beloved theatrical classics such as AC/DC, Make Up My Heart, Light at the End of the Tunnel, and the iconic title track. Fans can secure their tickets and find local screening details online from today.
