The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced that Neil Morrissey will join Ria Jones and Sally Ann Triplett in the production of Fourteen Again this winter. Directed by Jonathan O’Boyle, the musical runs at the London venue from 21st November 2026 to 27th February 2027, with an official press night on Wednesday, 2nd December. Morrissey previously collaborated with the late Victoria Wood on the original West End staging of Acorn Antiques: The Musical!.

Crafted to honor Wood’s enduring legacy, Fourteen Again features a book and additional lyrics by Tom MacRae (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) set to Wood’s celebrated songbook. The musical premiered earlier this year as the inaugural show at The Victoria Wood Theatre in Bowness-on-Windermere—the newly renamed Old Laundry Theatre, designated on the tenth anniversary of the comedy icon's passing by her long-time friends and collaborators, producer Charlotte Scott and designer Roger Glossop.

The story centers on Peggy and Lou, two childhood best friends who reunite years later at a local Slimming Club. Having lost touch since their teenage years, the duo navigate a heartfelt and humorous journey reflecting on their youth, choices, and personal growth, driven forward by Wood’s vibrant musical catalogue.

Ria Jones, returning to the Menier after appearing in Habeas Corpus, stars as Lou, while Sally Ann Triplett (Take Flight) plays Peggy. Morrissey joins the principal cast as Duncan. The production features musical supervision and arrangements by Nigel Lilley, choreography by Sammy Murray, and set design by Roger Glossop.

Fourteen Again marks a continuing creative connection between Wood's body of work and the Menier Chocolate Factory, which previously co-produced her stage adaptation of Talent. Tickets for the London run are available now through the Menier Chocolate Factory box office.
