Producer Nica Burns has unveiled the full cast for the 10th anniversary UK tour of the hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, set to launch in January 2027.
Joining the previously announced Ashcon Rahmani in the title role of Jamie New and Olivier Award winner Rebecca Trehearn as his mother, Margaret, are Kelle Bryan, Joanne Clifton, and Divina De Campo. Bryan (Hollyoaks, Eternal) will play schoolteacher Miss Hedge for the first leg of the tour from Leeds to Southampton, before handing the role over to Strictly Come Dancing winner Clifton for dates in Cheltenham through to Newcastle. RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Divina De Campo takes on the role of Hugo/Loco Chanelle.
The 10th anniversary production marks a return home for the show, opening at Leeds Grand Theatre on 15 January 2027—a decade after its 2017 world premiere at the Sheffield Crucible. The national tour will visit 26 venues across England, Scotland, and Wales, including stops in Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff, Birmingham, and Liverpool, before concluding at Newcastle Theatre Royal in July 2027.
The milestone tour will also introduce a brand-new song composed by lead songwriter Dan Gillespie Sells (The Feeling) and book writer and lyricist Tom MacRae (Doctor Who).
The wider cast includes Natasha Lewis (Ray), Mariam Pope (Pritti), Matthew Cavan (Tray Sophisticay), Daniel Jacob (Sandra Bollock), Jenson Steele (Laika Virgin), William Hazell (Dad), and Kyle Dick (Dean). The ensemble features Ethan Casey-Clothier, Ellie Eames, Uzuazo O'David, Grace Porter, Callum Saddler, Fin Scott, Zaynab Shahid, Will Stevenson-Jones, Zarina Thompson, Jáiden Lodge, Ynez Williams, and Samantha Ivey.
Inspired by the 2011 documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16, the coming-of-age musical follows 16-year-old Sheffield teenager Jamie New as he overcomes prejudice to step into the spotlight as a drag queen. Following its original Sheffield run, the show enjoyed a three-year West End residency, two national tours, and a 2021 feature film adaptation.
