Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has released production images for its brand-new production of Cats, running through September 19, 2026. Directed and choreographed by Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre Artistic Director Drew McOnie, the revival reimagines Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical under the open sky, making it one of the summer's standout theatrical events.
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre hosts an extraordinary ensemble cast bringing the famous feline characters to life. Rachael Wooding stars as Grizabella, delivering the showstopping standard "Memory," alongside Melanie La Barrie as Old Deuteronomy and Gary Wilmot as Gus. The wide-ranging cast also features Jaydon Vijn as Rum Tum Tugger, Jet Yau as Mr. Mistoffelees, Jack Wilcox as Munkustrap, Millie O'Connell as Demeter, Katie Dunsden as Bombalurina, Charlotte Riby as Jennyanydots, Dianté Lodge as Macavity, Danny Nattrass as Mungojerrie, and Briana Craig as Rumpleteazer.
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre transforms its outdoor stage into a nocturnal London gathering place where strays and rebels assemble under the Jellicle moon. Featuring Lloyd Webber’s legendary score—including "The Jellicle Ball," "Bustopher Jones," and "Old Deuteronomy"—the story follows the cats as they compete for the chance to be reborn into a new life.
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre brings together an acclaimed creative team to realize McOnie’s vision. The production features set, costume, and wig designs by Sami Fendall, lighting design by Jessica Hung Han Yun, and sound design by Adam Fisher. Musical supervision is led by Alex Parker alongside musical director Geraint Owen, with associate choreography and direction from Ebony Molina. Further creative contributions include makeup supervision by Guy Common, fight direction by Kev McCurdy, intimacy direction by Ingrid Mackinnon, and casting by Will Burton.
