Following a record-shattering and sold-out UK premiere run in 2025, the critically acclaimed musical Ride The Cyclone has returned to the Southwark Playhouse Elephant for a strictly limited summer engagement running until 22 August 2026.
The darkly comedic 90-minute production follows the story of six high school choir members who perish in a freak roller-coaster accident. Trapped in limbo, the teenagers are offered a final opportunity to return to life by a mechanical fortune teller, with each character stepping into the spotlight to prove why they deserve a second chance.
The revival stars RuPaul’s Drag Race UK runner-up Divina De Campo in the role of The Amazing Karnak. Joining De Campo in the main cast are Kayna Montecillo as Ocean, Josh Butler as Noel, Bartek Kraszewski as Mischa, Jack Maverick as Ricky, Robyn Gilbertson as Constance, and Grace Galloway as Jane Doe. The company is completed by swings Rebecca D’Lacey and Nathaniel Purnell.
Ride The Cyclone features a book, music, and lyrics created by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell. The production is directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee, alongside musical direction by Ben McQuigg, set and costume design by Ryan Dawson Laight, lighting design by Tim Deiling, and video design by Nina Dunn for PixelLux.
The creative and technical team also includes sound designer Tom Marshall, illusion designer Richard Pinner, make-up designer Dominic Skinner, and casting by Harry Blumenau. The production is general managed by Jack Maple Productions and produced by Kevin McCollum, Morris Berchard, and Jack Maple, under license from Broadway Licensing.
Having reopened on 17 June 2026, the musical enters its final weeks at the London venue. Tickets and performance schedules for the remainder of the run are available through the Southwark Playhouse box office and official booking channels.
