The King’s Head Theatre in Islington has officially announced its 2026 Autumn Season, presenting a diverse lineup of shows that explore the provocative boundary between public identity and private truth.

Opening the season is the highly anticipated London premiere of the award-winning South Korean sci-fi musical You & It, running from August 20 to September 26. Winner of the Best Musical Award at the 13th Daegu International Musical Festival, this international hit explores love and grief in a near-future world where a widower turns to artificial intelligence to recreate his late wife. The production pairs an intimate two-person narrative with a soaring contemporary score.

Following the musical, the box-office record-breaking political drama The Gang of Three returns for a strictly limited run from October 1 to October 11 before launching a national UK tour. Written by Robert Khan and Tom Salinsky, the Off-West-End-nominated play stars Alan Cox, Hywel Morgan, and Colin Tierney as Labour Party giants battling for the keys to Number 10 amid an intense economic crisis.

From October 15 to November 14, the theatre will host a critically acclaimed LGBTQ+ double bill transferring from the Park Theatre. Written by Paul Bradshaw, tell me straight and aggy offer a candid, witty, and emotionally honest portrayal of modern queer life in London, tackling themes of identity, desire, race, and privilege.

Rounding out the late year is the third installment of the venue's popular festive pantomime, Dick Whittington, running from November 21 to January 3, 2027. Ahead of the official autumn opening, the theatre will also host the world premiere of the 1950s-style comedy-musical Here Comes J. Edgar from July 11 to August 16, starring Mad Men’s Bryan Batt as the infamous FBI director.

Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to accessibility, the King's Head Theatre will offer a dedicated "Pay What You Can" performance for every production, alongside £15 tickets throughout each run. Tickets for the newly announced autumn season are available now.
