Rosy Coat Productions is bringing A Fire Inside Her to the Rosemary Branch Theatre at the beginning of July. A new show, consisting of four original monologues, each featuring a woman forging her own path in life in different ways.
Sometimes, a single spark can set your whole life ablaze. A text message, a bad decision, a snarky comment from someone you thought would be on your side. Four women will take the stage, one after the other, to make their choice: will they cool the fire or fuel the flames?
First, there’s Anne Elliot, who’s going to a wedding – or is she?
Then Anne Bonny, who is really tempted to burn this whole Ship to the ground.
Scarlet, who finds herself having to reckon with her true desires…
And Marianne, who has outgrown her life and must now face the terrifying prospect of having to start writing her own story.
They all want some change in their lives – they can feel the fire roaring inside and can run away from it no longer. But can they go through the inferno and come out reborn, or will the fire consume them entirely?
The show is written and performed by Chiara Rosanna Krones, Sarah Knoepfli, Gerda Juknaite, and Maija Yrjölä – all international actors and recent graduates of East 15 Acting School. They met during their training there and were brought together by their love of literature and by their shared passion for female-led stories.
