The globally celebrated South Korean musical You & It is set to make its major London debut this summer, taking over the King’s Head Theatre in Islington for a limited engagement running from August 20 to September 26, 2026.

Set in a near-future world where humans and artificial intelligence coexist, the award-winning production offers a deeply personal and timely exploration of technology's impact on human relationships. The story follows a grieving widower who encounters an AI replica created in the image of his late wife. Gifted a second chance at connection, he is forced to confront grief, memory, and the true meaning of love. The production blends an intimate two-person narrative with a soaring contemporary score to ask what truly makes us human in an automated age.

Originally written by Seoeun Oh and Q Lee, with music by Q Lee, You & It has grown from an emerging Korean work into an international success story. It clinched the Best Musical Award at the 13th Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) before expanding to audiences in Taiwan. The show made history as the first original Korean musical to present a fully localized English-language production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it earned critical acclaim for its emotional depth and exquisite production quality.

The London run arrives amid the massive global rise of Korean culture, demonstrating that South Korea's vibrant theatre scene is ready to match the international success of K-Pop and Korean cinema. Backed by South Korean cultural institutions, this staging at the new, purpose-built King's Head Theatre marks a significant milestone for international musical theatre in the UK.

Tickets for the Islington run range from £15 to £45. Audiences can experience this powerful, emotionally resonant exploration of love and technology daily throughout the five-week season.
