The full company has been revealed for the highly anticipated London run of I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical. Following initial premiere performances across the UK earlier this year, the production is set to open at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre for a limited season running from July 22 to September 27, 2026.
Starring powerhouse vocalist Alexandra Burke in the title role, the production charts the inspiring and untold life story of the multi-platinum selling global superstar. Joining Burke is Jordan Frazier (Hamilton) as the alternate Chaka Khan. The principal cast also features Chrissie Bhima as Marie Stevens, Ashley Stroud as Taka Boom, and Charlotte St Croix as Milini Khan. Notably, the musical includes portrayals of Khan's famous friends and contemporaries, with Sophie Earl appearing as Joni Mitchell and Samuel Sarpong-Broni taking on the role of Stevie Wonder.
Produced by Adrian Grant, the musical delves deep behind the icon's public persona, exploring her early rise to fame, her unwavering dedication to civil rights, and her defiance within a toxic music industry. The narrative also tackles her personal battles with addiction and the immense pressures of balancing global stardom with working motherhood.
"This musical is more than my story. It’s every woman’s story," Chaka Khan shared. "It’s about finding your voice, owning your truth, and rising through everything life throws at you. I’m honored to see my journey brought to the stage with such heart, strength, and authenticity."
