The historic Royal Arsenal venue Woolwich Works has officially unveiled an uplifting summer programme of community events, family entertainment, live music, and interactive workshops. Running throughout the summer months, the diverse schedule is specifically designed to offer South East London audiences of all ages a unique opportunity to connect through shared cultural experiences.
The multi-arts venue will feature a strong lineup of family-friendly programming, including the return of the interactive children's music showcase Boppin’ Bunnies on June 13 and August 29. On June 14, Guinness World Record-holding performer Highland Joker will bring The Bubble Show to the Fireworks Factory, blending magic, storytelling, and science for young audiences. Craft enthusiasts can participate in World Wide Stitch In Public Day on June 13, featuring a community stitch circle, a yarn swap, and a ticketed afternoon tea event titled Spilling The Tea with prominent textile artists Lydia Amartey-Williams and Lauren Tedstone.
The summer billing also features major cultural milestones. On June 20, the venue will host There & Here: A Celebration in partnership with Luca Silvestrini’s Protein and the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Marking Refugee Week 2026, the free event features artist-led performances, live music, and a communal meal. Pride celebrations will follow on Saturday, June 27, with Proud Together, a free, family-friendly courtyard party hosted by drag artist Candy Heals. Later that evening, the Britpop Elite Festival will take over the Fireworks Factory, featuring tribute sets from Oasiz, Blur2, and Pulp’d to celebrate '90s nostalgia.
In addition to large-scale events, Woolwich Works will continue its roster of accessible weekly community sessions. These include the Songbirds choir for adults over 50, free contemporary dance classes for Greenwich residents, and the Come and Sing Woolwich vocal workshops. The venue’s Visitors’ Book Café will also continue to host its regular Wednesday night social clubs, Friday karaoke nights, and traditional Sunday pub quizzes. General admission tickets and full scheduling information are officially available through the venue's central box office.
