The "most swell party of the year" has officially filled its guest list. Producers Howard Panter, Trafalgar Theatre Productions, and Brian and Dayna Lee have announced the final casting for this summer’s highly anticipated production of Cole Porter’s High Society, which begins its strictly limited run at London’s Barbican Theatre on May 19, 2026.
Joining the previously announced leads Helen George (Call the Midwife) and Felicity Kendal (The Good Life) is a glittering ensemble of stage and screen favorites. Freddie Fox (Slow Horses, House of the Dragon) will make his musical theatre debut as the charismatic Mike Connor, while the suave Dexter Haven will be played by Julian Ovenden (Bridgerton, Downton Abbey). The principal cast is rounded out by Carly Mercedes Dyer as Liz, Nigel Lindsay as Uncle Willie, and Malcolm Sinclair as Seth Lord.
Based on Philip Barry’s play The Philadelphia Story, this sumptuous new production follows a high-society wedding that descends into delicious chaos as old flames, new suitors, and prying tabloid reporters collide.
