Performances are set to rise from the grave at London’s Prince Edward Theatre starting Wednesday, 20 May 2026. This strictly limited engagement is scheduled to run through April 2027, bringing the beloved supernatural mayhem of Tim Burton’s 1988 cult classic to the heart of the UK theatre scene.
A Devilish New Lead
David Fynn is no stranger to high-energy, transformative roles. Best known for his acclaimed turn as Dewey Finn in School of Rock, Fynn has a diverse resume spanning the National Theatre, the RSC, and hit television series like Am I Being Unreasonable? and Avenue 5.
Fynn expressed his excitement about donning the famous striped suit, noting the "bold, funny, and totally chaotic" nature of the production. "Getting the chance to step into such an iconic role is both a huge honour and a slightly surreal experience," Fynn remarked. "Plus, I do look good in stripes, and I am a little dead inside."

Following a massive success on Broadway and a global tour, the musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a "strange and unusual" teenager whose life is upended by a pair of ghosts and a demon with a penchant for mischief.
The production reunites the original Tony-nominated Broadway creative team, including director Alex Timbers, composer Eddie Perfect, and book writers Scott Brown and Anthony King. With a score described as a "feast for the soul" and head-spinning set designs by David Korins, the show promises to be a visual and auditory spectacle.
