Following its Olivier Award-nominated West End run, the international smash hit The Choir of Man has officially unveiled production images of its first-ever UK and Ireland touring cast. The production, which opened its nationwide journey at the New Wimbledon Theatre on March 14, 2026, is set to bring "The Jungle" to audiences across the country through December 2026.
A Masterclass in Community and Free Beer
Set in "The Jungle"—an on-stage pub that feels like your favorite local—the show features nine (extra)ordinary men combining soul-stirring harmonies, world-class tap dance, and poetic storytelling. The high-energy setlist includes reimagined hits from Queen, Luther Vandross, Sia, Adele, and Guns & Roses. To complete the pub experience, the show famously offers something rare in theatre: free beer for the audience.
The Inaugural Touring Company
The tour features a powerhouse cast of West End and international veterans:
Gustav Melbardis as ‘Maestro’
Nimi Owoyemi as ‘Poet’
Levi Tyrell Johnson as ‘Hard Man’
Rob Godfrey as ‘Beast’
Joshua Lloyd as ‘Barman’
Sam Walter as ‘Romantic’
The company also includes Ben Mabberley (Joker), Jack Skelton (Handyman), and Aaron Pottenger (Bore), supported by a team of seasoned swings.
The Jungle Choir Community Project
In a move to celebrate local talent, producers have launched The Jungle Choir Community Project. This nationwide initiative invites local choirs in every touring city to attend opening night and actually join the cast on stage for the show's finale.
"The Choir of Man has always been about individuality, generosity, and the joy of making music together," says Creator and Director Nic Doodson. "Welcoming those voices into the show is a powerful reminder of why this piece exists: to celebrate community."
With over 1,000 West End performances and three sold-out seasons at the Sydney Opera House already under its belt, the UK tour marks the next chapter for this "feel-good, foot-stomping" phenomenon.
