A Star-Studded Portrayal
Multi-platinum recording artist and award-winning actress Alexandra Burke takes center stage as Chaka Khan. The new images showcase Burke’s transformation into the global icon, capturing the "fame, the fire, and the fight" that defined Khan’s career. Burke is set to lead the production for its opening run at the Hackney Empire, followed by dates in Coventry and Eastbourne.
The production features a powerhouse cast portraying some of the most famous figures in music history. Joining Burke are:

Directed by Racky Plews with a book by Nia T. Hill, the musical delves beyond the multi-platinum hits to reveal the deeply human story of Chaka Khan. The production explores her unwavering commitment to civil rights, her battles with a toxic industry, and the complexities of being a working mother while navigating the harrowing road through addiction.
Fans can expect a sonic journey through Khan's legendary catalogue, featuring hits like I Feel For You, Ain’t Nobody, Sweet Thing, and Through The Fire.
