In a monumental announcement for the London theatre scene, producers Jeffrey Seller and Cameron Mackintosh have confirmed that Tony and Grammy Award-winner Leslie Odom, Jr. will reprise his career-defining role as Aaron Burr in the West End production of Hamilton. This strictly limited engagement at the Victoria Palace Theatre marks Odom’s long-awaited West End debut, running from 3 July to 5 September 2026 only.
Odom, Jr. originated the role of Alexander Hamilton’s "frenemy" in the 2015 Broadway production, earning the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. After returning to the role for a sold-out Broadway stint last year, he is now "crossing the ocean" to join the London company.
“I am having so much fun!” Odom, Jr. said of his return to the character. “Revisiting the role of Aaron Burr with the growth and perspective of time has been a profoundly healing artistic experience. The London production will grant me a few more glorious weeks to share Lin-Manuel’s music with an international audience who love this show as much, if not more, than I.”
Cameron Mackintosh recalled being "knocked out" by Odom’s electric performance over a decade ago at New York’s Public Theater, adding, “I’m absolutely thrilled that London will now be able to share the experience of Leslie for a short season.”

Beyond the "Room Where It Happens," Odom, Jr. has become a Hollywood mainstay, earning double Academy Award nominations for his portrayal of Sam Cooke in One Night in Miami… and starring in hits like Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. His return to the West End alongside the current London cast—including Alex Sawyer as Alexander Hamilton—promises to be the theatrical event of the summer.
