Cameron Mackintosh has announced that rising West End star Beatrice Penny-Touré will take on the iconic role of Christine Daaé in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera. Penny-Touré will join the cast at His Majesty’s Theatre for a strictly limited 10-week engagement, running from Monday, 2 March 2026, until Saturday, 9 May 2026.

The announcement marks a full-circle moment for the actress, who made her professional and West End debut at the same theatre as a cover for the role. Penny-Touré replaces the departing Lily Kerhoas, who will give her final performance on Saturday, 28 February.

A West End Powerhouse

Despite her recent graduation from The Arts Educational School in 2021—where she was an Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Scholarship recipient—Penny-Touré has quickly become a staple of the London stage. For the past year, she has captivated audiences as Cosette in the Les Misérables Arena World Tour, a role she is set to return to following her stint in the Opera House. Her impressive credits also include lead turns in Mary Poppins, The Book of Mormon, and Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends.

A Star-Studded Company

Penny-Touré will join an acclaimed principal cast, including:

Dean Chisnall as The Phantom

Adam Rhys-Charles as Raoul

Joanna Ampil as Carlotta Giudicelli

Helen Hobson as Madame Giry

Produced by Cameron Mackintosh and featuring some of the most famous songs in musical theatre history—including The Music of the Night and All I Ask of You—the production continues to be a global phenomenon. Recently, a spectacular new production opened in America to rave reviews, further cementing the show's legacy.

The Phantom of the Opera is currently booking at His Majesty’s Theatre through 3 October 2026, with tickets starting from £25. With Penny-Touré’s limited run expected to be a major draw for theatregoers, fans are encouraged to book early to catch this acclaimed performer in one of musical theatre’s most demanding and beloved roles.
