The supernatural has taken a permanent grip on London’s West End. Following a surge of "phenomenal demand" from thrill-seekers, the theatrical reimagining of the horror phenomenon Paranormal Activity has officially extended its residency at the Ambassadors Theatre.

Originally slated for a shorter engagement, the production is now booking through to Saturday, 25 April 2026. This second extension cements the play as one of the West End's most successful horror transfers in recent years.

A Masterclass in Theatrical Terror

Written by acclaimed playwright Levi Holloway (Grey House) and directed by Felix Barrett, the visionary founder of the immersive theatre company Punchdrunk, the play is far more than a simple jump-scare fest. It tells a new, original story centered on James and Lou, a couple who move from Chicago to London to escape a dark past, only to discover that haunting is rarely about places—it’s about people.

The production arrives in London following a critically acclaimed world premiere at Leeds Playhouse and a successful North American tour. The Chicago Tribune warned audiences: "Will I be scared? Yes. How scared? Very."

The West End Company

The production features the electrifying original cast from the Leeds Playhouse run:

Patrick Heusinger reprising his role as ‘James’
Melissa James as ‘Lou’
Pippa Winslow as ‘Carolanne’
Jackie Morrison as ‘Etheline Cotgrave’
New Performance Schedule

For those planning to experience the dread in person, note that from Friday, 9 January 2026, the Ambassadors Theatre will shift to an earlier schedule. Evening performances will now begin at 7:30 PM, with matinees starting at 2:30 PM.

With a creative team that includes illusionist Chris Fisher and Olivier Award-winning sound designer Gareth Fry, the play utilizes the intimacy of the Ambassadors Theatre to create an atmosphere of creeping, psychological tension that the Metro described as "relentlessly frightening."
