Get ready to spread Christmas cheer! ELF the Musical returns, bringing the beloved holiday tale from the screen to the stage. This funny and charming production is based on the cherished 2003 New Line Cinema film that originally starred Will Ferrell, and promises an unforgettable theatrical experience.
The musical follows the story of Buddy, a human baby who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag and is raised as an elf at the North Pole. Way too tall and struggling with his duties, Buddy realizes he’s a misfit. When Santa reveals the truth, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, who, to Buddy's surprise, is high on the naughty list. After causing some merry mayhem in Manhattan, Buddy discovers the true gift of family and even finds love. The ultimate test comes when Santa's sleigh crashes in Central Park, leaving it up to Buddy to save Christmas forever!
This festive production boasts a brilliant lineup of talent. Taking on the iconic role of Buddy is Joel Montague. He is joined by celebrated West End star Carrie Hope Fletcher as Jovie, and the esteemed Aled Jones MBE as Walter Hobbs, Buddy's long-lost father.
The principal cast further includes Rosanna Hyland as Emily Hobbs, Martyn Ellis in the dual role of Santa and Mr. Greenway, Lucinda Lawrence as Deb, and Dermot Canavan as Store Manager. The pivotal role of Michael Hobbs will be shared by Ayrton English, Max Garlick, Harry Georgiou, and Samuel Sturge.
Rounding out the ensemble are Mollie Cleere, Farirayi Garaba, Sophie Pourret, Lucy Rice, Biancha Szynal, Kyle Cox, Zack Guest, Ryan Jupp, Dominic Lamb, and Danny Nattrass. The company is completed by swings Olivia Bella, Sophie Camble, Amy Punter, Samuel John Humphreys, and Michael Tyler, ensuring every performance is magical.
The musical features a book by two-time Tony Award-winners Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, with songs penned by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin. Musical supervision, additional arrangements, and orchestrations are by Alan Williams. Produced by Temple Live Entertainment, ELF the Musical is set to be the must-see festive treat of the season.
