Cast Announced for UK Premiere of Love Quirks: A New Musical
London is abuzz with excitement as the full cast for the UK premiere of Love Quirks: A New Musical has been unveiled. Following a successful Off-Broadway run, this poignant and hilarious exploration of modern romance is set to open at The Other Palace Studio from Thursday, September 18th to Sunday, October 12th, 2025, with a press night scheduled for Thursday, September 25th, at 8 pm.

The musical, lauded for its relatable characters and touching score, delves into the "awkward, honest and sometimes beautiful emotional chaos of adulthood." Leading the cast as Ryan, the witty and whimsical queer serial dater, is Lewis Bear Brown, known for his role in Pretty Woman the Musical and his massive social media following. He is joined by Clodagh Greene (Connections, BARE) as the no-nonsense Brit, Stephanie. Ayesha Patel (Romeo and Juliet, Best of the West End) will play the hilarious graduate student, Lili, while Tom Newland (The Pirates of Penzance) rounds out the quartet as Chris, the sweet American jock.

Director Cecilie Fray, an Offie-nominated talent whose recent credits include Assistant Director for Moulin Rouge! The Musical on the West End, expressed her enthusiasm: "We have assembled a fabulously adept and tenacious group of actors to bring the UK premiere of Love Quirks to life. Audiences can expect them to bring their comedic flair to this hilarious and hugely relatable musical."

Love Quirks, produced by Love Quirks Limited and generally managed by JAS Theatricals, has been fifteen years in the making, evolving from a song cycle into a full-fledged musical. It promises a narrative filled with laughter, pathos, sexual tension, and those "inconvenient quirks that make love so unpredictable," as four broken hearts navigate their pasts and futures.

The musical boasts an award-winning script by Mark Childers, recipient of the 2021 Off-Broadway BroadwayWorld Award for Best New Book of a Musical, and a touching score by Seth Bisen-Hersh. Bisen-Hersh commented on the London debut: "It is beyond exciting to have a fresh, young cast embody these beloved characters. Revisiting and revising the show for London audiences has been a thrilling experience, and I cannot wait to see it come alive again. The show is for anyone who has ever been in love, been out of love, or even been just intrigued by love."

Tickets for Love Quirks are available through The Other Palace website, with previews starting at £22.50. Don't miss this heartfelt and humorous take on the messy landscape of modern love and friendship!
