Seven Dials Playhouse is set to ignite London's theatre scene this summer with an exciting lineup of new work, launching its Edinburgh Fringe Preview Season from June 24th to July 27th. Located at 1A Tower Street, London, WC2H 9NP, the playhouse will host an array of fresh voices, bold experiments, and big ideas across its two performance spaces, The House and The Pen.

The season features two key strands. The first, '7from7,' is an artist development program run in partnership with Pleasance Theatre Trust. It provides crucial support to seven emerging theatre companies, offering free rehearsal space, mentoring, and financial aid as they prepare for the Edinburgh Fringe. This year's '7from7' selections include: 'Brainsluts,' a psychological farce; 'Kanpur: 1857,' a biting satirical retelling of India’s uprising; 'Hold The Line,' a gripping NHS call-centre drama based on real events; 'Eat The Rich (but maybe not me mates x),' a sharp comedy about class and aspiration; 'House Party,' a dance-fueled show on gentrification; 'Dusty Creases: Dance Your Life Away,' a surreal masterclass in movement; and 'United,' a live football mockumentary.

The second strand, 'Edinburgh Previews,' showcases new work-in-progress performances from a mix of established and up-and-coming talent in theatre, comedy, and performance. Highlights include a double bill from viral sensation Jazz Emu and character comic Adrian Gray, 'The Pink List' – a haunting musical about queer persecution in post-war Germany – and a new show from Chortle-tipped comedian John Tothill.

This summer season underscores Seven Dials Playhouse’s unwavering commitment to artist development, sustainability, and accessibility. The venue actively works to dismantle financial and structural barriers within the industry, aiming to be a vital incubator for the next generation of theatre makers. By championing diverse voices and forms—from new writing and devised performance to sketch comedy and cabaret—the playhouse reaffirms its deep commitment to anti-racism, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that all creatives feel supported and empowered to craft their work authentically.
