London’s theatre community is coming together once again for an unmissable night of music and magic as Monday at the Musicals returns to the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. Taking place on 12 May 2025 at 7:30 pm, this spectacular charity event will celebrate its visionary founder, childhood cancer survivor Ellen Bisci, as she marks 20 years since her initial diagnosis.

Ellen, who credits Children with Cancer UK for saving her life, has curated her biggest musical showcase yet, enlisting a dazzling lineup of West End stars to raise funds for Children with Cancer UK and Trekstock. Audiences can look forward to performances from renowned talents including Joanne Clifton (Rocky Horror Show UK Tour, Flashdance the Musical UK Tour), Holly Bannis (What’s Love Got To Do With It UK Tour), Tom Lidgley (Royal Academy of Music), Freddie King (Titanique), Sarah Goggin (Back to the Future), Maggie Lynne (Wicked), Georgina Castle (Mean Girls), and Nadim Naaman (Phantom of the Opera European Tour), with more artists to be announced soon. Adding to the excitement, the evening will feature the debut of an original song written especially for Ellen’s inspiring journey.

A Journey of Resilience and Passion for Theatre

Ellen’s love for musical theatre blossomed during her treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where she found solace in watching Andrew Lloyd Webber’s I’d Do Anything. First diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia at just nine years old, she faced a devastating relapse three years later, coupled with a life-altering stroke. Against the odds, she fought her way back, with the support of groundbreaking MRD testing funded by Children with Cancer UK, which played a crucial role in her survival.

Despite enduring long-term health challenges, including 13 brain surgeries, epilepsy, and heart failure, Ellen has remained dedicated to raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer charities. “I started Monday at the Musicals to give back to the charities that have supported me while also celebrating the theatre industry that has been such an important part of my life,” she shares.

An Evening of Giving Back

Produced by Ellen alongside Laura Baldwin and Natalie Naaman, with musical direction from Paul Herbert (Pitch Perfect, Rob Brydon Songs and Stories UK Tour, Zog UK Tour), this one-night-only event promises an unforgettable celebration of resilience and the healing power of the arts.

Proceeds from the show will support Children with Cancer UK, which funds vital research and treatments to improve survival rates and the long-term well-being of young cancer patients. The event will also raise funds for Trekstock, the only UK charity dedicated to supporting young adults in their 20s and 30s as they navigate life through and beyond cancer.

With a stellar lineup and a powerful cause, Monday at the Musicals is set to be a night to remember. Don’t miss your chance to experience this inspiring evening while supporting two remarkable charities.
