Immerse yourself in the Dorset countryside, feel the wind in your hair and salt spray on your skin at this show of uplifting nature stories woven through with filmed landscape vignettes. Celebrate the magic of nature with award winning performance poet and writer Estelle Phillips.

Will the trapped doe be saved? Can the sparrow escape the hawk? What happens to the orphaned fawn Eve finds on her mother’s grave, and how did the buzzard save Isaac Gulliver, the smuggler who evaded capture by pretending he was dead in his coffin? - A “brilliant story, amazingly told” Adam Crowther, BBC Bristol.

Estelle was crowned winner at this year’s Dorchester Literary Festival Slam. Previous performances include the Royal Albert Hall and Southbank, and a run of her multi media show (“110 m.p.h.”) at Nuffield/MAST Southampton.

Frequently broadcast by the BBC, her stories are published in both the U.K. and U.S. and she was selected for Ilminster Literary Festival’s 2023 “best of the best short fiction”.

Estelle lived in Clapham for a number of years before moving to the country. Following life changing injures sustained as a passenger in a car crash, she devoted her time to writing and has built a reputation as a mesmerizing performer “on another level” (Caddie Jay).

Inspired by the Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is her home, she writes about nature and was commissioned by Cranborne Chase National Landscape to write a piece for her headline set at the Festival of Words in October.

Credits include runner up in the Yeovil Literary Prize (Novel) 2022 (Barney Norris judging) and a 2023 nomination for the Forward Prize in relation to her debut poetry collection “Motherhoodlum” (Jawbone).
