Sword of the Demon Hunter arrives on Blu-ray
To celebrate the home entertainment release of the thrilling supernatural historical anime series Sword of the Demon Hunter, we are giving away Blu-ray copies of the complete 24-part epic, courtesy of Acorn Media International!
Produced by Yokohama Animation Laboratory and directed by Kazuya Aiura (Assassins Pride), this epic Japanese fantasy series is based on the popular novels and manga by Motoo Nakanishi. Spanning 24 action-packed episodes, the series chronicles a fierce struggle between man and demon across centuries, taking viewers on an odyssey from the Edo period right through to the modern day.
In Edo-period Japan, young siblings Jinta and Suzune escape an abusive past and find refuge in the mountain village of Kadono. Years later, Jinta has grown into a formidable guardian, sworn to protect his home and the local shrine maiden.
But during a battle with a mighty demon, Jinta inherits dark power and learns of a terrifying prophecy: a Demon God from his own village will one day rise to threaten all of humanity.
When a dark truth shatters his family and tears the once inseparable siblings apart, Jinta changes his name and embarks on a quest across time to track down his sister, confront his foretold destiny, and seek justice for everything he has lost.
Delivering a gripping combination of samurai action, tragedy, adventure, and romance, Sword of the Demon Hunter is an unmissable release for anime and dark fantasy fans alike. The two-disc set includes special features such as clean opening and closing animations, Japanese promos, and options for both English dubbed and original Japanese audio with subtitles.
