Ghar Ghar follows Maya, who returns from London to her family in Karachi, carrying not just her luggage but also a suitcase full of unresolved trauma and new insecurities. The play unfolds against the backdrop of a lively Pakistani wedding, bringing to life the chaotic, warm, and often challenging dynamics of South Asian family life. From dealing with past wounds to navigating the present's complexities, the story is an engaging exploration of conflict, confrontation, and familial bonds, all laced with humour and deep emotion.

"It’s a story often left untold within South Asian communities. It delves into how silence or deflecting is used to avoid conflicts and truths, impacting young people's mental health and self-esteem. It's a candid look at the challenges faced by individuals in a family meant to love and nurture them," said Annum Salman, writer and director.

The female led creative team behind Ghar Ghar includes (Annum Salman, Nikhat Hoque, Kersherka Sivakumaran, Nimaya Abhayaratne, Usama Sarwar, Kiren Virdee, Hunia Chawla & Sohail Noorani), whose collaborative efforts bring this story to life with authenticity.
